FRSC sets to commence 2026 recruitment exercise

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced plans to begin its 2026 recruitment exercise, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for positions across its officer, marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant cadres.

According to a recruitment notice issued on Thursday by the corps, the exercise is open to eligible candidates seeking appointment into various categories within the organisation as it continues efforts to strengthen its workforce and improve service delivery nationwide.

The agency stated that applications are being sought for positions including Superintendent Route Commander (SRC), Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander (RC/DRC), Assistant Route Commander (ARC), Marshal Inspector II and III, as well as Road Marshal Assistant I, II and III.

FRSC said applicants for officer cadre positions must possess relevant university degrees or Higher National Diplomas from recognised institutions, while candidates applying for marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant cadres must meet the specified academic and professional requirements for their respective categories.

The corps noted that artisans, drivers and riders with relevant qualifications and experience may also apply under the road marshal assistant cadre.

It added that applicants must be Nigerian by birth, computer literate and medically fit, while possession of a valid National Driver’s Licence will serve as an added advantage.

Other requirements include possession of a certificate of medical fitness from a government-approved hospital, appropriate professional licences where applicable, and compliance with the minimum height requirement of 1.65 metres for males and 1.58 metres for females.

The agency further stated that candidates must be of good character, free from financial embarrassment and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.

FRSC advised prospective applicants to submit their applications online through its recruitment portal at recruitment.frsc.gov.ng

The corps said applications must be submitted within four weeks from Friday, July 3, 2026, stressing that the recruitment exercise is free of charge.

It warned applicants to be cautious of fraudsters, reiterating that no payment is required at any stage of the recruitment process.
