Founder of Heaven’s Gate Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Prophet Kumchacha, says the marital challenges faced by many pastors are linked to the spirits they cast out during deliverance sessions.
He made the comments in an interview on Aluta FM in Accra, referencing the ongoing dispute between Bishop Daniel Obinim and his wife, Florence Obinim.
According to him, the frequent deliverance practices in churches can have unexpected spiritual effects on pastors and their homes.
“Everyday, they do ‘break and go,’ ‘break and go,’ when the spirits break out, they roam around looking for where to go and they end up going into the pastors themselves or even the wives of these pastors,” he said.
He claimed this situation contributes to tension in many pastoral marriages.
“Most marriages between pastors and their wives are going through a lot. The pastors’ wives are not getting the love and attention from their husbands.
“The same way most of these pastors are constantly getting nagged and disturbed by their wives to an extent they end up suffering from ailments like high blood pressure and stroke,” he said.
