Kwankwaso speaks on organising protest over growing Insecurity

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the vice-presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Coalition (NDC), has denied reports that party leaders are planning a protest over the country’s growing insecurity.

Kwankwaso called the claims false and misleading and asked the public to ignore what he described as deliberate misinformation.

He made it clear that the NDC does not support any actions that could disturb public peace or harm people or property. He also confirmed the party’s commitment to dialogue and peaceful solutions.

“We do not support any action that could lead to the breakdown of public order or the destruction of lives and property. As responsible leaders, we remain committed to peaceful and constructive approaches in addressing national challenges,” he said.

Kwankwaso also said that the party believes in democracy as the right way to bring about change. He pointed out that elections are the best way for people to share their concerns.

“As committed democrats, we firmly believe that the ballot box remains the most legitimate and effective way to seek change,” he added.

The former governor of Kano State said he is confident that the NDC will win the 2027 general elections by taking part peacefully.

He asked Nigerians to disregard the reports going around, saying they are meant to mislead the public.
