LG polls: Gov Okpebholo urges APC candidates to sustain momentum of progress

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has called on All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates contesting the forthcoming Local Government elections to remain committed to sustaining the momentum of progress across the state.
The governor also urged the candidates and their supporters to stay united and work together to ensure victory for the APC in the polls.
Okpebholo made the call while officially flagging off the APC Local Government Election Campaign in Edo North Senatorial District.
The flag-off ceremony, held over the weekend, was attended by Senator Adams Oshiomhole, Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, APC leaders, candidates, and thousands of enthusiastic supporters.
In a statement issued after the event, Governor Okpebholo commended party members for the impressive turnout.
He said, “The impressive turnout reaffirms that Edo people appreciate the impact of our practical style of governance and the visible transformation taking place across the state.
“From markets to roads, schools to healthcare facilities, and security initiatives, we remain focused on delivering meaningful development that touches lives in every community.
“As we move towards the local government elections, I charge our candidates and supporters to remain united, engage the grassroots, and sustain the momentum of progress as we continue building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Edo State.
“Together, we will keep advancing the vision of a New Edo where development reaches every corner of our state,” Okpebholo said.
The governor assured that his administration and the APC would continue to pursue policies and programmes aimed at setting Edo State on the path of sustained development.
