Edo best in e-governance, as Okungbowa dedicates award to Okpebholo

The Head of Civil Service in Edo, Dr Anthony Okungbowa has on Monday in Benin described Edo as the best state amongst the 37 states of the federation in e-governance.
Okungbowa stated this while addressing a body of Edo state Permanent Secretaries, Directors and Staff, during his home coming reception in his honour in celebration of his Nigerian Public Service Award, given to him by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms.
According to him, I am seriously encouraged by your pleasant surprise for me, and I want to thanked God for this opportunity, very importantly I dedicate this award first to Gov. Monday Okpebholo.
“This award to me, apart from being a product of prolonged work, is also significantly a product of our governor’s commitment and passion for good work we have to do in the civil service.
“We went to Abuja, we came home with the best award in Institutional, Leadership and Public Service Reforms and that’s deliberate, as you know, the Bureau of Public Service Reforms is the apex reforme body in this country.
“So, if they choose you, it means Edo public service is the best, and this award is a call for greater commitment , it is a call for greater passion, it is a call for greater service delivery to change things for the better”, he said.
The head of service expressed appreciation to the governor for providing the state civil service the platform to shine across the country.
On his part, Dr Efosa Aisien, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alliviation, while speaking on behalf of the body of permanent Secretaries, Directors and Staff in Edo civil service, commended Okpebholo for creating an enabling environment for such award.
Aisien described the award as a national validation of the Edo state public service year’s of dedicated service under the administration of the head of service.
In a goodwill message, Mr Nyamali Joseph, noted that Okungbowa has showed remarkable knowledge in all the gathering he had found himself both home and abroad.
