Gospel musician Grace Ashley has accused the Ghana Football Association (GFA) of neglecting her despite dedicating years to producing songs in support of the Black Stars.
Speaking on Joy Prime on June 24, 2026, the singer said she has consistently composed anthems for Ghana’s senior national team since the 2006 FIFA World Cup but has never received recognition or financial support from either the GFA or the government.
“Nobody calls me. I am not part of their plans,” she said.
Grace Ashley expressed disappointment over what she described as the lack of appreciation for her contributions to Ghana football over the years.
According to her, she has not benefited financially from her efforts and believes favouritism has prevented her from receiving the recognition she deserves.
“When you are not their favourite, you won’t get considered. That is how the system here works: favouritism. Even if someone mentions your name, someone else will just brush it off.
“Nobody in the GFA can tell me he has given me a dime in support of all I’ve done for the Black Stars since 2006,” she stated.
Her comments come after she recently disclosed that she has not received any royalties from her music in the past 18 years, despite producing songs associated with Ghana’s national football team.
The singer’s remarks have sparked discussions about how individuals who contribute to promoting Ghana’s sports and entertainment sectors are recognised and rewarded.
