NPFL: Rivers United sign midfielder, Ani Chigozie on two-year contract

Rivers United have completed the signing of midfielder, Ani Chigozie on a two-year contract, DAILY POST reports.
Chigozie joins the Pride of Rivers after agreeing to a deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2028.
The midfielder becomes the latest addition as Rivers United continue to strengthen their squad for the 2026/27 season.
Chigozie arrives with NPFL experience, having featured for Enyimba FC and Niger Tornadoes.
His spells with the two-time African champions and the People’s Elephant gave him exposure at both continental and domestic levels.
Chigozie’s profile fits the club’s plan to blend proven NPFL talents with younger players as they target improvement on last season’s finish.
Rivers United will compete in the CAF Champions League next season.
