Ondo lawmaker empowers 300 constituents, mobilises for Tinubu’s re-election

A member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Mr Biola Oladapo, has appealed to members of his constituency to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
Oladapo, who represents Ondo West Constituency 2 in the Assembly and is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the forthcoming House of Assembly election in the constituency, said he had begun grassroots mobilisation for the President’s re-election.
This was contained in a statement made available to our correspondent on Sunday through his media aide, Kabiru Okunoye, who insisted that the targeted over 1 million votes for the President from the state would be achieved, hence the need for support.
He said there was a need “for our people to support the re-election of the President to continue and complete various developmental projects that the Tinubu administration has embarked upon across the country. We have already begun grassroots mobilisation for the President in our constituency.
“Mr President has tried for our state and the country in general in the areas of economy, infrastructure, youth empowerment, among others. The President is also making frantic efforts to address the challenges facing the country. So I’m calling on our people to support his re-election.”
Calling for support for his own second-term aspiration in the House of Assembly in 2027, the APC candidate disclosed that within three years, over 300 constituents had been empowered with millions of naira and tools to start their own businesses. The beneficiaries include youths, farmers, women and widows.
He also noted that he had delivered 20 landmark interventions spanning education, empowerment, infrastructure and social welfare, adding that his three-year scorecard has brought tangible relief and renewed hope to his constituents through impactful, people-centred projects.
The statement added, “In education alone, Hon. Oladapo has funded college tuition for indigent yet brilliant students, organised free summer coaching, distributed back-to-school materials under his ‘Back to School 3.0’ initiative, and facilitated admissions for eligible candidates into higher institutions.
“His commitment to dialogue also stands out. Through regular town hall meetings and community engagement, he has restored peace and trust, giving constituents a direct voice in governance over the last three years. Over 200 residents benefited from our recent massive empowerment programme, while more than 100 had received cash support, food palliatives, and help with health allowances within this period.”
It said the lawmaker had facilitated employment at state agencies, lobbied for those on temporary appointments to attain full employment, and ensured prompt processing of pensioners’ gratuities. Each intervention targeted the daily needs of families across Ondo West Constituency 2.
It added that Oladapo provided transformers to some rural communities, graded rural roads, installed solar-powered street lights and contributed to the security of several communities in the constituency.
“Three years on, Oladapo’s blend of direct intervention and legislative advocacy has set a new benchmark for representation. Constituents say his focus on access, opportunity and dignity proves that real results are possible when leadership is intentional and accountable,” the statement concluded.
