Sultan congratulates newly-appointed Chief Imam of Ilorin

The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has congratulated Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki on his appointment as the 13th Chief Imam of Ilorin.
The Sultan of Sokoto described the emergence of the new Chief Imam of Ilorin as an act of destiny ordained by Allah.
In a statement issued on Thursday, signed by Prince Bashir Adefaka on behalf of his Media Team, Abubakar said leadership is a divine trust and responsibility.
He said: “A leader is made by Allah.
“Whoever is chosen must always remember that he is accountable to Him in the discharge of his duties to the people he is appointed to serve.”
While commending the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, for the appointment, the Sultan prayed that Almighty Allah grants the new Chief Imam the strength, wisdom, and increased knowledge required to successfully lead the Ulama and the Muslim community within the Kwara State Emirate.
He wished Sheikh Dasuki a successful and impactful tenure in office.
