Who is Hector Delion, Penn Station stabbing suspect arrested after 5 people were injured?

51-year-old Hector Delion, a homeless and emotionally disturbed man was arrested in connection with the terrifying stabbing incident that took place at Penn Station, New York City’s biggest transportation hub, on Sunday evening. Amtrak Police first responded to a slashing attack around 7 pm, according to officials. By that time, five victims had already been slashed and all of them were taken to the hospital. Delion was arrested at the site and a knife was found from the scene.One of the victims, Henry Obadiah, recalled the stabbing horror and told The New York Post that he did not even realize that he had been slashed in the face. “He went at me to kill me! I saw the rage in his eyes,” Obadiah said. It was a random attack and Obadiah came in the path of Delion. “The crazy guy locked his eyes on me and just roundhoused me! Clocked me right in the face and I was like, ‘What the f**k?’ And I heard the guy on the escalator say, ‘He’s got a knife! He’s got a knife!’”“I didn’t realize I had just been slashed in the face,” he said.Until Obadiah saw his reflection on the phone, he was thinking he got sucker-punched. “I thought he just punched me. I felt my lip got busted and I saw the blood, but I took a look into my phone and saw the big cut in my face and I just ran up to the cop and said, ‘I just got attacked,’” he said.Obadiah walked with the cops along a huge trail of blood and saw another young victim seated on the floor holding a towel against his wound.“My heart is with everyone who was injured, their loved ones, and all those shaken by this unacceptable violence. I’m wishing each of the victims a full and speedy recovery,” Mayor Zohran Mamdani posted after the incident. “I’m grateful to the Amtrak Police Department and the first responders who acted quickly to apprehend the suspect and provide emergency care.”
