A Ghanaian pastor has sparked reactions online after claiming that men who fail to pay tithes risk losing their partners to other people.
While preaching to his congregation, the pastor stressed the importance of paying tithes, saying it plays a role in the success of individuals in different areas of life.
He advised everyone, including students, married couples, people in relationships, mothers and pastors, to pay tithes, warning that refusing to do so could lead to struggles.
“Don’t be a student without paying tithe. Your academics will be affected. Don’t be a married man without paying tithe. Don’t be a married woman without paying tithe. Don’t be in a relationship without paying tithe,” he said.
The pastor further linked unpaid tithes to relationship challenges, claiming that some men lose their partners because they fail to honour God through tithing.
“You are in a relationship and you are not paying tithe. That is why the men are snatching the women from you because you don’t pay tithe,” he stated.
He also urged mothers and ministers of God to pay tithes, arguing that it was necessary for them to succeed in their responsibilities.
The pastor’s comments have generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users agreeing with his message while others questioned the connection between tithing and relationships.
