âWhy do church brothers think Christian sisters don’t require gifts?â â Actress Tonto Dikeh urges men to plan dates and buy flowers

Actress Tonto Dikeh has advised Christian men to put more effort into pursuing women instead of relying solely on spiritual declarations.
In a video, she questioned why some church brothers believe saying “God told me you are my wife” is enough, arguing that using spiritual language should not replace intentional courtship.
Referencing biblical examples, Tonto said true pursuit requires effort, honour and practical investment. She urged men to communicate better, buy flowers, plan proper dates and make women feel cherished instead of expecting relationships to thrive on prophecies alone.
She added that Christian sisters also deserve romance, thoughtful gestures and intentional love, saying, “We’re tired of hearing ‘God said.’ Go and buy flowers. Plan that date.”
