Fire Razes Shops at Ibadan Bode Market as Traders Count Heavy Losses

A fire broke out at Bode Market in Ibadan’s Molete neighborhood on Friday, destroying several stores.
The cause of the fire had yet to be determined as of the time this story was filed.
According to an online post, Oyo State Fire Service personnel were on the scene attempting to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the market.
The precise number of stores impacted and the extent of the merchants’ losses were still unknown as of the time of publication.
Only a few weeks had passed since a similar fire outbreak at Ibadan’s Dugbe Market.
