“‘Is it bad for me to pick you up from school and tell you I love you?’” — Mother left stunned by her 16-year-old son’s reaction

A mother has gone viral after sharing a funny conversation with her 16-year-old son, who questioned why she came to pick him up from school.

In the video, the teenager asked why she came to get him when his school was close to home, saying he had been walking back by himself for years. He also admitted he was surprised when she told him “I love you” and “I miss you,” adding that he initially thought she had come to see his principal and even considered sneaking out through the back gate when he realised she was there for him.

Explaining herself, the mother said she only came because it was raining heavily. She jokingly asked if he was now ashamed of her, but her son insisted he wasn’t, saying he simply didn’t expect her to come and pick him up.
