Amb Ajimobi presents letters of credence to Austria

Nigeria’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Republic of Austria and the International Organisations in Vienna, Dr (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, has presented copies of her Letters of Credence (Copie d’Usage) to the Chief of Protocol of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, Ambassador Maximilian Hennig.

The presentation of the Copie d’Usage, which took place on Monday, marks an important diplomatic milestone ahead of the formal presentation of her Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen.

Ajimobi, in her remarks, expressed her sincere appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Austria for the warm welcome and gracious reception accorded to her upon her arrival in Vienna.

She conveyed her profound gratitude to Ambassador Hennig for the excellent arrangements made to facilitate the presentation of the Copie d’Usage, noting that the professionalism, efficiency and courtesy extended to her and her delegation were deeply appreciated.

Ajimobi also conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Government and people of Austria, while reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding cordial relations between the two countries.

She pledged to work towards deepening cooperation in trade, investment, education, culture, multilateral diplomacy and other areas of mutual interest.

Ajimobi further stated that she looked forward to the honour of presenting her Letters of Credence to President Alexander Van der Bellen and expressed confidence in continued close cooperation with the Austrian authorities throughout her tenure as Nigeria’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative.
