APC NGO Registration Gains Momentum as Bayelsa Leaders Hail Massive Compliance

…Over 500 NGOs, Support Groups Registered

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State have commended the ongoing registration and enumeration of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Support Groups, describing the exercise as a strategic step toward strengthening the party’s grassroots structure, improving coordination, and positioning it for future electoral success.

The commendation was made on Monday by the Bayelsa State APC Youth Leader while receiving the leadership of the Bayelsa APC Grassroots Forum during a courtesy visit to his office at the State Party Secretariat.

According to the Youth Leader, the registration exercise is a deliberate initiative aimed at constitutionally and administratively integrating NGOs and Support Groups into the activities and programmes of the APC. He noted that the exercise will establish a comprehensive database to enhance coordination, deepen participation, and foster stronger collaboration between the party and its support groups.

He disclosed that more than 500 NGOs and Support Groups have already been registered, describing the level of compliance as encouraging. He urged organizations yet to register to take advantage of the opportunity before the exercise ends on July 31, stressing that a united and well-organized support base is essential to achieving the party’s objectives and advancing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Youth Leader also assured stakeholders that the registration process is free, transparent, and solely intended to strengthen the APC’s inclusive and participatory structure.

Speaking during the visit, the Director-General of the Bayelsa APC Grassroots Forum, Comrade Deme Ataribo Ayawari, and the Forum’s East Senatorial Director, Hon. George Sibi Matthew, commended the party leadership for creating a platform that enables NGOs and Support Groups to play a more active role in party affairs.

They said the registration exercise gives members a stronger sense of belonging while providing committed groups with an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth and success of the APC.

The duo also praised the leadership of the Bayelsa State APC Chairman, Rt. Hon. Warman Ogoriba, for repositioning the party toward peace, unity, progress, and future electoral victories.

Reaffirming its commitment to grassroots mobilization, the Bayelsa APC Grassroots Forum pledged to intensify efforts to strengthen the party from the ward level upward. The group also called for stronger collaboration with the Office of the State Youth Leader and pledged to mobilize massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in future elections.

The Forum expressed confidence in the leadership and capacity of the Bayelsa State APC Youth Leader to continue advancing the party’s vision of expansion, inclusion, and grassroots development.
