Businesswoman Loses ₦1m Goods After Exhausting Lagos Trip

After allegedly leaving items worth over ₦1 million inside a commercial bus in Lagos, a Nigerian entrepreneur posted an emotional video, claiming that her acute fatigue was the reason behind the expensive error.

The obviously upset businesswoman claimed that despite constant reminders from her family and clients to calm down, she had been working nonstop without getting any sleep.

She was concerned that the loss might have a disastrous effect on her company.

A Lagos-based businesswoman has gone viral after narrating how she lost goods worth over ₦1 million following an exhausting business trip.

In a widely circulated video, she disclosed that she had brushed aside repeated warnings from loved ones and clients urging her to slow down and rest.

She said she barely sleeps, whether during the day or at night, describing herself as someone who works hard and moves fast, and appealed for divine intervention over her situation.

She narrated that she had travelled to Lagos to buy skincare products directly from suppliers, including genuine sunscreens meant for resale to her customers.

Among her purchases were 20 units of La Roche sunscreen bought at ₦22,000 apiece, another 20 units of Nivea sunscreen, Skin Aqua items, facial steaming machines, gummies, and other assorted products, altogether valued at more than ₦1 million.

According to her account, fatigue overwhelmed her while she was on a commercial bus, and she dozed off during the trip.

She recalled tucking her phone securely inside her bag as she felt sleep taking over, careful not to misplace it.

However, the cartons containing her merchandise had been kept inside the vehicle, and in her drowsy state, she disembarked without them.

She expressed deep regret over forgetting the goods, saying it was only after she got home, changed her clothes, ate, and lay down to rest that she suddenly remembered her missing package.

On realising what had happened, she said she immediately set out again, heading back toward the Mile 2 area in the hope of tracking down her belongings, adding that failure to recover them could deal a devastating blow to her business.
