Dabiri-Erewa hails Nigeria-Saudi exhibition, calls for stronger investment ties

‎Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has expressed confidence that the upcoming Nigeria-Saudi Diaspora Investment and Tourism Exhibition Summit will help deepen economic ties between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia by addressing investment misconceptions, examining challenges and opening up opportunities in both markets.

‎Dabiri-Erewa stated this during a pre-event media conference held at the NiDCOM headquarters in Abuja ahead of the second edition of the Summit, themed “The Misconceptions, Challenges, and Opportunities in Investing in Saudi Arabia and Nigeria Today”.

‎Represented by the Commission’s Secretary, Dr Sule Yakubu Bassi, she recalled that the first edition in 2019 was successful, drawing over 30 companies from Saudi Arabia.

‎‎She described the exhibition as a timely initiative that would strengthen the investment relations of both countries and create opportunities for businesses, investors and other stakeholders.

‎The NiDCOM Boss commended the organisers, Al Yaro International Limited, for their consistent efforts in promoting investment visibility for individuals, businesses, and companies in both Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

‎Also, Hon. Abdulrahman Terab, Head of Department, Technology Transfer, Innovation and Investment, stated that the exhibition has been carefully planned to provide participants with a better understanding of the investment landscape in both countries and to encourage meaningful business connections.

‎He noted that Nigeria and Saudi Arabia have maintained long-standing diplomatic, cultural and socio-economic relations, but stressed the need to translate these ties into stronger economic partnerships.

‎Terab said the event would provide participants with an opportunity to explore areas of mutual interest, particularly in sectors such as real estate, agriculture, technology transfer, trade, and tourism, as he encouraged Nigerians and other interested stakeholders to take advantage of the Summit.

‎Mr. Muhammed Umar Yaro, one of the organisers, announced that the Exhibition will hold on August 4 and 5, 2026, at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.

‎He said the Summit was created to unlock investment opportunities, discuss with policy makers and other key stakeholders at ways to boost the Nigerian-Saudi Arabia relations in terms of trade and business. 

Yaro added that over 100 exhibitors, 5000 visitors and 20 investment sectors will participate in the two-day event.

He said the event will focus on the following sectors: energy, agriculture, real estate, tourism, manufacturing and urged interested participants to register via the official registration link- https://www.manafieexpo.com/ to take part in the exhibition and discussions around investment opportunities, challenges, and prospects in both countries.

‎Yaro also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and NiDCOM Chairman for her continued support and partnership, as he looks forward to a more engaging and impactful second edition.

The Exhibition is organised by Al Yaro International Company, in collaboration with NiDCOM, Almanafie, the Association of Nigerians in Diaspora, Saudi Arabia (ANDiSA) and Suruh Alhijaz.
