Davido Declares Himself the Only Billionaire’s Son to Build His Own Fortune

Singer Davido has stated that he is the only billionaire’s child in the world who has developed a personal brand and riches independent of his family’s wealth.

During an appearance on the Vibes Podcast, the award-winning artist stated that while people often applaud “grass-to-grace” success tales, they rarely recognize those born into wealthy families who go on to carve out their own path and achieve incredible success.

Davido argued that while society tends to celebrate stories of people rising from poverty to wealth, it is just as difficult for the child of a billionaire to carve out an independent identity and achieve widespread recognition on their own merit.

He said people are drawn to the grass-to-grace narrative, the story of a poor young man who becomes rich, but questioned how many other billionaires’ children around the world, not just in Africa, have built a name and fortune for themselves in the same way.

According to him, “You can’t count, you can’t name one apart from me.”

“Not to brag, but which other billionaire’s child do you know in the world, I am not talking about Africa that has made a name for himself and also made a lot of money? You can’t name one apart from me.”
