Defence Minister Christopher Musa Denies Resignation Rumours

The Office of the Minister of Defence has dismissed reports claiming that the Minister, General Christopher Musa, intends to resign from office, describing the publication as fake and misleading.

In a statement issued by the Minister’s Special Assistant on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, the office said the report was entirely false and driven by mischief.

According to the statement, General Musa remains fully committed to his national security responsibilities and continues to focus on implementing the country’s defence strategy, with positive results already being recorded.

The statement urged members of the public to disregard the report, while also calling on media organisations to verify information with the Minister’s office before publication in order to avoid spreading false and unverified claims.
