Excitement and gratitude have greeted the delivery of five newly constructed classroom blocks across communities in Southeast Nigeria, following an intervention by De Imperial Philanthropic Family (DIPF).
The projects were officially unveiled during the group’s Extraordinary General Meeting, held from July 1 to July 4, 2026, at Acropolis Resort in Okija, Anambra State, with the event led by the organisation’s National President, High Chief Dr Sir Darlington Nwabunike.
The classroom blocks, situated across several states in the region, have been described by residents as a major boost to teaching and learning, particularly in rural communities where educational infrastructure has long remained inadequate.
The beneficiary schools span Imo, Ebonyi, Abia, Enugu, and Anambra states, a spread the organisation says reflects its commitment to equitable development throughout the Southeast.
Beyond the infrastructure projects, DIPF has also expanded its scholarship programme, extending educational support to hundreds of students.
The scheme caters to 250 secondary school students annually, alongside 25 high-performing candidates in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations.
Chairman of the Education Committee, Chief Chikezie Okonkwo, noted that the initiative has continued to yield positive results, with several beneficiaries recording notable academic improvement.
Also speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Best Brain Contest and scholarship consultant, Dr Frank Igbojindu, commended the programme, describing it as a transformative opportunity for the young beneficiaries involved.
Residents and beneficiaries alike said the intervention has brought renewed hope, with many noting that the projects represent not just improved learning facilities, but also a pathway toward a better future.
