A driver and his mate have been found dead under mysterious circumstances at Elsie Hotel in Nkawkaw, in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The deceased have been identified as 37-year-old Emmanuel Ayisi and his mate, Emmanuel Dankyi.
According to a report by adomonline.com on July 17, 2026, the two men checked into the hotel after travelling from Donkorkrom.
Police sources said they arrived in Nkawkaw late in the day and decided to spend the night at the hotel before continuing their journey. They were later found unresponsive in their room.
The incident was reported to the police, who visited the scene and started investigations into the deaths.
“The bodies have been conveyed to the Holy Family Hospital Mortuary in Nkawkaw for preservation and autopsy,” the report said.
Meanwhile, the hotel manager and a security guard have been arrested to assist with investigations as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police say investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of death, and further details are expected as the probe continues.
