EFCC clears NIS Boss Kemi Nandap in visa fraud probe

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has cleared the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nandap, of any involvement in its ongoing investigation into an alleged visa fraud scheme. 
The anti-graft agency clarified that Kemi Nandap is not a suspect in the case and has not been implicated in any aspect of the investigation. 
The clarification comes amid public speculation linking senior officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service to the probe. 
The EFCC reaffirmed that its investigation remains focused on individuals directly connected to the alleged visa fraud, stressing that the Comptroller General has been cleared of any wrongdoing. 
The commission urged the public to disregard misleading reports suggesting Nandap’s involvement and reiterated its commitment to conducting a thorough, impartial, and evidence-based investigation.
