FDA Raids Italian Boy Lounge in Accra Over Alleged Illicit Drug Possession

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has reportedly raided Italian Boy Lounge, a nightclub at Nungua Kantamanto in Accra, over alleged possession of illicit drugs.

According to myjoyonline.com, the operation took place on the evening of July 3, 2026, while the venue was being prepared for business.

Two staff members were reportedly arrested to assist with investigations. The facility has also been shut down by authorities.

Reports say substances suspected to be illegal drugs were found and seized during the operation.
