Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has denied rumors that he has joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), maintaining that he is still a devoted member of the ruling party.
Ganduje called the posters that were making the rounds on social media asserting that he had left the APC untrue and politically motivated.
He claimed that the allegations were a part of a purposeful disinformation operation meant to mislead the public, confuse party supporters, and spark needless political conjecture.
Ganduje’s chief of staff, Muhammad Garba, emphasized in a statement that he had never thought about quitting the APC, the party he had previously led as National Chairman.
He insisted that there was no political or rational foundation for reports that connected him to the NDC.
Ganduje added that under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, the APC is still the biggest political party in the nation and continues to garner support.
He reiterated his dedication to advancing the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda in collaboration with the party leadership.
The former APC chairman further revealed that the people responsible for the creation and dissemination of the purported defection posters had been identified, threatening to take legal action if the materials were not removed and the accusations did not cease to spread right away.
He insisted that the posters do not represent his political stance or intentions and advised party members, supporters, and the general public to ignore them.
