inDrive appoints KieKie as Chief Wahala Officer

Mobility and urban services platform, inDrive, has appointed media personality and content creator, KieKie, as its new “Chief Wahala Officer” in a creative campaign aimed at drawing attention to everyday transportation challenges in Lagos.
The appointment follows what the company described as an overwhelming response to the campaign, which attracted over 450 applications from Nigerians interested in taking up the symbolic role.
According to the platform, the initiative is designed to spotlight persistent mobility issues in the city, including traffic congestion, unreliable transport systems, delivery challenges and the daily difficulties commuters face moving around Lagos.
As “Chief Wahala Officer”, KieKie will lead the #inDriveCWO campaign by engaging residents to share their commuting experiences, with the aim of amplifying public conversations around urban mobility and transportation challenges.
Speaking on the campaign, the Country Manager of inDrive Nigeria, Timothy Oladimeji, said, “KieKie is a perfect fit for this role because she represents exactly what this campaign is about: authenticity, humour and relatability. She has a natural ability to connect with people’s everyday experiences and turn them into conversations that everyone understands,” Oladimeji said.
In her response, KieKie expressed excitement about the appointment, noting that the role offers a creative way to highlight the struggles faced by Lagos commuters while encouraging wider participation in conversations about improving mobility.
“I am finally happy to announce that I am the Chief Wahala Officer. My dear Lagosians, any delivery or ride-hailing wahala you may be facing is now in the past. Don’t worry, I am on duty, which means everything will go back to normal,” she said humorously.
