Kano Hisbah arrests 12 women and seven men at hotel over alleged immoral activities

The Kano Hisbah Board has arrested 19 people, comprising 12 women and seven men at a hotel identified as ICU in Nassarawa GRA, Kano, over alleged involvement in immoral activities.
Deputy Commander General of the Board, Dr Mujahid Aminuddeen, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
He said some of those apprehended were not residents of Kano but had travelled in from other states.
The statement expressed concern over the manner in which underage youths were being allocated rooms at the hotel.
Dr Aminuddeen explained that investigations were ongoing to determine the culpability of the suspects, after which appropriate legal action would be taken.
He added that while those found guilty would be charged in court, first-time offenders would be counselled, with their parents invited to take custody of them.
