Spain superstar Lamine Yamal has etched his name into football history after becoming the first player under the age of 20 to win both the UEFA European Championship and the FIFA World Cup.

The Barcelona star ,19, achieved the milestone following Spain’s dramatic 1-0 extra-time victory over Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, with Ferran Torres scoring the decisive goal in the 106th minute to hand La Roja their second world title in 16 years.

Yamal’s latest triumph comes just two years after he played a pivotal role in Spain’s UEFA Euro 2024 success.

Then only 17, the Barcelona star dazzled throughout the tournament, becoming the youngest player to feature in and win a European Championship while also claiming the Young Player of the Tournament award.
