QAnon fanatics prepare wild scheme to create a ‘sanctuary’ for children: report

A group of adherents to the QAnon conspiracy theory cult have taken over a women’s prison in California — and they plan to turn it into a “sanctuary” for trafficked children.

According to The Bulwark, “Thanks to $1.6 million in donations so far, the Leo Chesney Correctional Facility — a decommissioned minimum security prison in the town of Live Oak, north of Sacramento — is set to become ‘Peace of Heaven,’” which they intend to use to house children rescued from the supposed world-spanning trafficking network of the evil global elites.

The whole thing is being organized by a far-right pastor, David Bryan.

“From August 28 to August 30, conspiracy theorists like former CBS News reporter Lara Logan, QAnon promoter Ann Vandersteel, and recently freed Colorado election clerk Tina Peters will appear at the ‘Rev17 2.0’ conference at Bryan’s church, located near the prison” to continue raising money. The name of the gathering “is an allusion to chapter 17 in the Book of Revelation,” which details the Beast.

Tickets range from $99 to $299, and the money will go to redeveloping the prison into their imagined sanctuary space.

QAnon, which grew out of anonymous and almost certainly fake “government insider” posts on internet message boards during Trump’s first term, has evolved into a full-blown cult that supposes America is controlled by Satanic deviants who pass around children for their own pleasure, and that some public figure — usually President Donald Trump, sometimes accompanied by a still-living John F. Kennedy or his son — is working behind the scenes to free the world from this evil.

Some political observers have likened QAnon to Nazism, as the two ideologies have similar conspiracy theories tying together their beliefs.
