A man has received widespread praise online after capturing a giant snake discovered inside an illegal mining (galamsey) pit, averting what workers at the site feared could have become a dangerous situation.
According to eyewitness accounts, the snake was spotted within the mining pit, causing alarm among workers present at the site.
The man reportedly stepped forward and successfully captured the reptile, with colleagues cheering and applauding his actions once the snake was safely removed.
Video circulating from the scene shows the man holding the captured snake as fellow workers express visible relief and admiration for his boldness.
