Rapper Rick Ross makes pitch for Miami Dolphins ownership stake

Rapper Rick Ross has expressed interest in becoming a part-owner of the Miami Dolphins, saying he hopes to play an active role in strengthening the NFL franchise’s relationship with its local community.
Speaking in an interview with TMZ Sports, Ross said he would not view ownership as a symbolic investment but would instead work to help grow the team’s connection with fans and the wider Miami community.
The rapper praised current Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, saying he believes the businessman has done a good job running the organisation and suggested his own contribution would focus on community engagement rather than football operations.
Ross also revealed that he already has a relationship with the franchise but acknowledged that earning an ownership stake would take time.
Beyond the NFL, the rapper discussed Miami’s basketball prospects, expressing optimism about the Miami Heat’s future. He said he would welcome the prospect of Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo joining the Heat and added that he hopes the franchise can also secure the return of LeBron James during the offseason.
