Soldier Killed as Troops Repel Terrorist Ambush in Sokoto

One soldier has been k!lled after troops of the Combat Team of the 8 Division repelled a t3rrorist ambush during a patrol in Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

This was disclosed in a post shared online by security expert Zagazola Makama, who revealed that troops from Forward Operating Base Raka came under att@ck at about 5:30pm on July 14 while on patrol around Zurmuku Village.

According to him, the t3rrorists launched the ambush as the patrol approached the area, but the troops responded decisively and fought their way out of the attack.

He added that one soldier sustained gunshot wounds during the encounter and was evacuated to a medical facility for treatment, but later succumbed to his injuries.

It will be recalled that on June 30, two Nigerian soldiers were k!lled while three others sustained injuries after troops of the Nigerian Army repelled a coordinated t3rrorist att@ck during an operation in Isa Local Government Area of the state.
