St. Kitts and Nevis publishes step-by-step guide to biometric enrolment

The St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship Unit has released a step-by-step guide to the biometric enrolment process, setting out exactly what citizens can expect from booking through to completion of their appointment.

The guidance responds directly to the questions raised most often since appointments opened, with citizens seeking clarity on what the appointment involves before committing to a date.

The guide forms part of the National Biometric Enrolment and Passport Modernisation Programme, under which every citizen must complete enrolment by 31 July 2027 to retain an active passport.

Appointments opened globally on 1 May 2026 and are being arranged through Authorised Agents during the current phase.

The process runs in four stages: contacting an Authorised Agent to book, confirming the appointment with a Government-designated service provider, attending in person for biometric capture, and receiving confirmation of completion.

The Unit confirmed that the in-person appointment is brief, straightforward and required only once, with the same four steps applying wherever in the world a citizen enrols.

The guide also addresses arrangements for families, including scheduling for dependants and the requirements for children under 16, who must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Families have been encouraged to plan their appointments together where possible, both to simplify scheduling and to ensure every member of a household completes enrolment well within the programme window.

Alongside the practical steps, the guidance explains what citizens should bring to their appointment, what to expect on arrival, and how completion is confirmed, giving citizens a full picture of the process before they book.

The guide has been distributed to Authorised Agents and made available through participating embassy channels across the ten priority jurisdictions, with translated versions provided in Arabic, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese to ensure citizens can follow the process in their preferred language.
