Suspected thieves kill hospital security guard, steal solar equipment in Kano

A security guard at a hospital in Danlasan Ward, Warawa Local Government Area of Kano State, Malam Ado Shuaibu Maki, was brutally killed by suspected thieves who allegedly slit his throat before making away with solar equipment from the facility.
The incident occurred on the night of Friday, July 3, 2026.
According to a statement issued on Saturday, July 4, 2026, by the Director of Information and Public Enlightenment to the chairman of Warawa Local Government, Malam Hamza Kinchau, “The suspects murdered Malam Ado Shuaibu Maki by slitting his throat and thereafter carted away the solar equipment belonging to the hospital.”
Reacting to the incident, the Chairman of Warawa Local Government, Hon. Lamido Sunusi Ahmad, expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and the people of Danlasan Ward.
“We call on security agencies to investigate this heinous crime, apprehend the perpetrators, and bring them to justice,” Ahmad added.
