A video has emerged showing media personality and New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, being taken to the Nsuta Circuit Court in an ambulance.
The appearance came after prosecutors reportedly requested that he be brought to court to personally take his plea.
The video, shared on X on July 17, 2026, shows Afrifa-Mensah wearing a neck brace, with bandages and plasters on his head. He was also seen limping as he was assisted into the ambulance.
He was dressed in a blue-black top and black shorts. Some people helped him into the ambulance before he was placed on a stretcher inside the vehicle.
Afrifa-Mensah reportedly suffered injuries on July 12, 2026, during his arrest over alleged violence linked to the NPP Afigya Sekyere East constituency executive elections.
His team claims he was assaulted while attempting to serve a court injunction to stop the elections.
However, the police have maintained that his group disrupted the election process.
The different accounts surrounding the incident have led to public discussions, with some people raising concerns about his treatment while others have questioned the circumstances of the case.
