A woman identified as Erdoo Nancy has been arrested for allegedly killing her co-wife’s daughter in Ankyoor community, Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State.
The incident reportedly happened along Makurdi Road, opposite YUA Guest House, according to eyewitnesses.
Reports say local youths restrained the suspect shortly after the incident and handed her over to officers of the Nigeria Police Force at the Aliade Division.
Preliminary information suggests that Nancy allegedly attacked and killed the child while the child’s mother was away.
The reason behind the alleged attack remains unknown, and the Benue State Police Command has not yet released an official statement on the matter.
