THE Council of Yoruba Elders (CYE) has raised the alarm over an alleged plot by the Fulani to conquer South-Western Nigeria.

In a statement issued on Saturday and signed by the council’s Secretary-General, Victor Taiwo, and Chairman of the Security Committee, Amos Marcus Omuiyadun, it called on influential Yoruba sons and daughters to come together to save Yorubaland.

The elders lamented that Yorubaland, which extends from southern Nigeria to the Republic of Benin, is in a state of wailing and mourning over the invasion of “murderers” and “vagabonds.”

The council, therefore, called on eminent Yoruba sons, including Mike Adenuga, Bayo Ogunlesi, Femi Otedola, Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, Kessington Adebukunola Adebutu, Afe Babalola, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Pastor William Kumuyi, Bishop David Oyedepo, Alhaji Dauda Makanjuola Akinola, Chief Olu Okeowo, and Mrs Bola Shagaya, to join the “rescue mission” to restore peace in Yorubaland.

Some of the other eminent Yoruba natives urged to join the mission include Ibrahim Ayodeji (Wizkid), Olamide Adedeji (Baddo), Taofeek Arapaja, Adegboyega Adegoke Taofeek, Kunle Ara Pharmacy, Adebayo Adelabu, Oriyomi Hamzat, Sharafadeen Alli, Debo Ogundoyin, Azeem Gbolarumi, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, Pastor Femi Emmanuel, Prophet (Dr.) S.K. Abiara, Senator Teslim Folarin, and Senator Hoseea Agboola (Alleluyah).
