“I didn’t dump my husband" – Actress Uche Ogbodo says

Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has denied dumping her husband, Bobby Maris.

She stated this on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. 

A follower had commented on her latest Instagram post, accusing her of dumping her husband shortly after undergoing cosmetic surgery.

In response, she wrote: “I didn’t dump my husband.” 

She also responded to a plea by another follower, asking her to forgive her husband. 

The latest development comes a month after she announced her separation from Bobby.

The actress had questioned why it’s a taboo and a sin for a woman to be tired of her marriage. 

“For person to tire for marriage now nah taboo because nah woman! Must it always be man must taya? My tayad is tayad! am tayad of the Princess wey dey marry me. What is wrong with that? To be happy as a woman in marriage nah by connection in this country!” she wrote.

“I no do again nah sin? Make nobody push me to the wall because I be rubber ooo! 8 years of my life isn’t enough yet? Maybe I should give it 20 years or maybe 6 feet under before the crown of thorns can fit me.” 

The estranged couple got married in 2023 and have two children together.
