“Nigerian women are controlling, impatient, loud and only care about money” – South African woman says

A South African woman has gone viral after opening up about how her opinion of Nigerian women completely changed after marrying a Nigerian man.

She admitted that she once believed Nigerian women were bossy, controlling, loud, impatient and only interested in money.

However, she said her perception changed after meeting her Nigerian mother-in-law, whom she described as loving and caring. According to her, she was treated “like a princess” and was not allowed to do house chores or lift heavy objects during and after her pregnancy.

She also recalled meeting several successful and kind Nigerian women in Canada, including business owners and professionals, saying they were nothing like the stereotypes she had heard.

The woman concluded by saying she now believes Nigerian women are not celebrated enough.
