Adenta Kumi, an NPP Youth Organizer hopeful, has sparked discussions after issuing a strong warning ahead of Ghana’s 2028 general elections.

According to reports, Adenta Kumi cautioned that anyone who attempts to interfere with NPP members or tamper with ballot boxes during the elections would face serious consequences.

“If anyone attempts to mess around with any NPP member or the ballot boxes during the 2028 elections, they will meet God. As to how they will meet God, we don’t know,” he reportedly stated.

The comment has attracted attention due to its interpretation by some as a warning against potential violence during the electoral process.

His remarks come as political parties in Ghana begin preparations and conversations ahead of the next general elections.

While some supporters have described the statement as a call to protect the party’s votes and ensure electoral fairness, others have raised concerns about language that could be perceived as threatening and the potential impact on political tensions.

Ghana has historically been praised for its democratic stability, with stakeholders often calling on political actors and supporters to promote peaceful elections and respect the rule of law.

Adenta Kumi is yet to provide further clarification on the meaning behind the statement or respond to concerns raised over his remarks.
