A heated argument has broken out between a passenger and a Toyota Voxy driver during a trip from Kumasi to Accra after the passenger reportedly confronted the driver for making phone calls while driving.
According to reports, the passenger became concerned about the driver’s actions and questioned him over the decision to use his phone while operating the vehicle.
The confrontation reportedly angered the driver, who stopped the vehicle and parked to address the issue.
In a video circulating online, the driver is heard defending his actions, insisting that the passenger should not speak to him disrespectfully.
He reportedly argued that there was no law preventing drivers from making phone calls while driving.
The disagreement escalated as the driver allegedly threatened to remove the passenger from the vehicle, while the passenger insisted that if he was to be dropped off, the driver should take him back to the Kumasi station.
Despite the heated exchange, other passengers inside the vehicle remained silent as the argument continued.
The incident has sparked discussions online, with some users supporting the passenger’s concerns over road safety, while others believe disagreements between drivers and passengers should be handled calmly to avoid disrupting journeys.
Road safety advocates have repeatedly warned drivers against behaviours that can reduce concentration while driving, as distractions remain a major cause of road accidents.
