Ariana Grande is pulling out of her West End debut as she steps away from the limelight amid concerns over her weight.
On Sunday, Grande’s rep revealed that the singer, who is on her “Eternal Sunshine” tour, is taking a break from the spotlight amid “endless public scrutiny.”
“Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour,” her rep told People Sunday.
“She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny,” the rep continued.

“This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much.”
The “Thank U, Next” singer is also exiting the West End revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “Sunday in the Park with George,” the outlet also confirmed.
She was scheduled to star in the musical opposite her “Wicked” co-star Jonathan Bailey at London’s Barbican Centre next summer.
A source close to the singer also defended the Grammy winner to the outlet amid the speculation about her health, noting, “She performs a very physical show, and there is a lot of athleticism involved. She performs healthily and successfully at a very high level night after night.”
Page Six reached out to Grande’s rep for comment.

Concern over the former Nickelodeon star’s weight loss intensified with the release of her music video for “Petal” Friday.
In the video, she’s seen auditioning before a panel of men in an office, rocking a “Grease” inspired outfit consisting of black leggings, a black off-the-shoulder top and a matching scarf around her neck.
Fans quickly commented on her physical appearance.
“She is extremely thin and it’s concerning,” one comment on social media reads, while another chimed in, “I think people are allowed to be concerned for her health.” A third remarked that Grande’s “bones are literally popping out” and visible.

In November 2025, Grande told fans to be cautious about making “dangerous” body-shaming comments. She reposted a 2024 interview for her “Wicked: For Good” press in which she emotionally addressed negative comments about her appearance to her Instagram Stories.
“it’s hard to protect yourself from that noise” when “you’re young and you’re hearing all kinds of things,” she shared at the time.
“I think that it’s something that is uncomfortable no matter what scale you’re experiencing it on,” she continued, “even if you go to Thanksgiving dinner, and someone’s granny says, ‘Oh my God, you look skinnier! What happened?’ or ‘You look heavier! What happened?’”
“I think in today’s society, there is a comfortability [sic] that we shouldn’t have at all — commenting on others’ looks, appearance, what they think is going on behind the scenes or health or how they present themselves.”
