Popular Ghanaian football supporter Kailani Ibrahim, widely known as “Powder Man,” has reportedly been arrested over allegations of visa fraud.
According to reports, the well-known Black Stars supporter is accused of collecting more than US$30,000 from over 13 individuals after allegedly promising to assist them in securing travel opportunities to countries including Canada, Nicaragua, and the United States.
The complainants reportedly claim that they paid various amounts of money with the expectation of obtaining visas and travelling abroad, but the arrangements allegedly failed to materialise.
Following the allegations, Kailani Ibrahim was arrested and is expected to appear before the Accra Circuit Court to face the matter.
Powder Man gained popularity in Ghana through his energetic support for the Black Stars at football matches, where he became known for his colourful appearance and passionate displays during national team games.
The case has attracted attention due to his public profile as a football supporter, with many people following developments surrounding the allegations.
The matter is currently before the court, and the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Further details are expected to emerge as legal proceedings continue.
