Brad Pitt’s Daughter Takes Major Step, See Why She Wants Removed From Her Name

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s 18-year-old daughter, Vivienne, has taken another legal step towards removing “Pitt” from her surname.

Vivienne wants to change her legal name from “Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt” to “Vivienne Marcheline Jolie.”

She published a legal notice in the Los Angeles Daily Journal, as required under California’s name-change process.

The notice appeared once a week on July 24, July 31, August 7 and August 14.

However, the name change has not yet been approved.

A court hearing has been scheduled for November 2, when a judge will consider Vivienne’s request.

Court documents state that anyone who opposes the change “must file a written objection that includes the reason for the objection at least two court days before the matter is scheduled to be heard.”

The person must also attend the hearing.

Vivienne filed her original petition at the Los Angeles County Superior Court on July 21. She listed her reason for changing the name as “personal.”

This is not the first time she has publicly used only her mother’s surname.

In May 2024, she was credited as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Playbill for the Broadway production of “The Outsiders,” which she helped produce with Angelina Jolie.

Her siblings Zahara and Maddox have reportedly started similar legal processes to remove “Pitt” from their names.

Their sister Shiloh legally changed her name from Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie in 2024.

Vivienne’s request will remain pending until the November hearing.
