Breaking: Nigeria’s headline inflation rate eases to 15.43% in July

Nigeria’s headline inflation rate fell to 15.43% in July, down 0.48 percentage points from the 15.91% recorded in June 2026.
The National Bureau of Statistics disclosed this today in its Consumer Price Index (CPI) Report for July.
According to the report, this decline indicates a significant drop from the 24.94% inflation rate recorded in July 2025.
“In July 2026, the Headline inflation rate stood at 15.43%, down from 15.91% in June 2026 and stood at 24.94% in the same month of the preceding year (July 2025),” it said.
