Singer Brymo has urged Burna Boy, Davido, and 2Face to publicly address their purported knowledge of an incident in which he said he was coerced into joining a cafélt and lured under the pretense of being hosted.
The musician revealed in an interview that he had kept quiet about the issue for years before deciding to speak after being urged to do so on several occasions.
He claims that rather than asking for an apology, he wants the artists to publicly deny any involvement if they had nothing to do with the purported occurrence.
“I don’t want to confront Burna Boy and Davido with declarations of forgiveness.
I just want them to tell me if they know what went down with me and Shevron.
When I was tricked into being hosted, I was informed that I had to join cafélt.
After that, around three names were named, and I remained silent about it for years before speaking up.
And as of right now, 2019 marks its seventh anniversary,” he remarked.
Brymo went on to say that their silence on the matter was intolerable and that he would keep talking about it.
“Don’t say that because you did it as long as you kept it to yourself.
Because I’m not whispering it; I’m tweeting it, posting online, saying it in stories, reels, and on television.”
He also criticized what he saw as delayed apologies, adding, “All these apologies is sh+t. You cannot apologize after seven years.”
The musician also recalled a statement attributed to Burna Boy about hustling, questioning why it was directed at him considering his career and artistry.
“All you have to say to me is that I should hustle. Oh, you don’t have a tune to sing right now? “No music, you dey chop?”
