FAAN speaks as fire guts Lagos international airport
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed a fire incident at the Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State.
This was contained in a statement issued by the authority’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire.
In the statement on Sunday, Agbebire said that FAAN’s Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service was responding to the incident at the moment and working diligently to contain the situation.
He said that there was no report of casualties.
“Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available,” he said.
The official did not say when the fire began.
