A 55-year-old man, identified as John Nwawuto Anoruo, has been arrested for allegedly posing as a qualified lawyer using a forged certificate.
According to reports, Anoruo allegedly collected more than GH¢60,000 from a client after presenting himself as a legal practitioner.
Investigators claim that instead of handling the case himself, he hired a qualified lawyer in Lagos and paid him about GH¢8,000 to represent the client.
Anoruo is also accused of operating a legal consultancy firm despite allegedly having no qualification to practise law.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the case, including the alleged forged certificate and money collected from the client.
The allegations against Anoruo remain before the appropriate legal authorities and have not been proven in court.
