Nigerian woman accused of selling her child in Ghana


A Nigerian woman living in Ghana has reportedly been arrested for allegedly selling her child for GH¢2,000 (N232,000).
Residents claim they apprehended the woman and questioned her over the child’s whereabouts after suspecting she had sold the child.
Some also alleged she was battling substance abuse, though this has not been independently verified.
A resident also claimed that the Nigerian woman came to her area to sell her child for 500 cedis but ran away when they threatened to report her to social welfare.
