Planning Committee unveils programme for 2026 Efon Alaaye Day

Activities marking this year’s Efon Alaaye Day will commence on Thursday, August 20, with a bob-a-job exercise by undergraduate indigenes at 7:00 a.m., followed by the finals of the Unity Cup at the Township Stadium by 4:00 p.m.
This was made public in a press statement signed by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Kola Ajumobi.
Other activities lined up for Friday, August 21, include a cultural engagement with traditional worshippers, a Jumat service, and a beauty pageant.
Ajumobi disclosed that the grand finale will hold on Saturday, August 22, at the Efon Township Stadium, while the four-day celebration will wind down on Sunday, August 23, with a thanksgiving service at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Iloro, Efon Alaaye.
The annual Efon Alaaye Day serves as a platform where indigenes at home and in the diaspora converge to discuss the development of the community and proffer solutions by leveraging their social networks
